Dr. Seuss is a favorite not only among children, but adults that grew up with his books too. In celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday on March 2, I thought that I’d share some of my favorite Dr. Seuss inspired baby shower ideas. It would be great to throw a Dr. Seuss themed baby shower for a little one that is due on March 2 or any mom that is a fan of this classic author.
I love having garland at any celebration because it is an easy and inexpensive way to add color to the space. These little paper dots are made from Dr. Seuss books and card stock and add such a fun look to the space. The bunting is a great extra layer to add to the garland that includes some of our favorite moments from The Cat in the Hat.
Tissue paper poms are also a favorite of mine. I have used them for both of my girl’s birthday parties and have even hung them in their room to add a pop of color. It’s a fun and inexpensive way to really add a dramatic look to any room. You can hang them from the ceiling one by one or bunch them together for an extra dramatic effect. These poms are the perfect colors for Dr. Seuss and I love the dip dyed pom color for a little bit of a unique look.
Celebrate the upcoming addition with a personalized banner. These are great to hang on a mantle or around the garland and bunting for a layered look.
Spice up those mocktails with these bright and fun straws. Sipping from these straws will help brighten anyones day. The different patterns add for extra dimension and versatility to the straws. Place them in a clear glass to add some color to the table.
Whether you have candy or a table full of food, let the guests know what you are serving with these printed place cards. Let the seller know exactly what you want printed and they will be sent to you ready to be set up! That makes for stress free and easy planning and set-up on your part!
Diaper cakes are a staple at any baby shower. They make great centerpieces and serve double duty because the mom-to-be can use the diapers on her new bundle of joy. These diaper cakes were favorites of mine because they feature different characters from my all time favorite book, The Cat in the Hat.
Every mom-to-be craves something sweet and these cookies are absolutely stunning! The attention to detail is beautiful and I love that they incorporate both the baby theme and Dr. Seuss. Whether you choose to serve them at the shower or use them as gifts for your guests to leave with, they won’t be disappointed leaving with this sweet treat.
And what’s a baby shower without cake? If you plan on having a lot of guests celebrate the mom-to-be, this cake is perfect. The topper is precious and is the perfect touch for a mom expecting a baby! This would make for a stunning centerpiece on any table at the shower.
