Fabulous Flats for Spring

As a mom, wearing heels is a rare occasion. In fact, I’m not sure I even really know how to walk in heels anymore and wearing them to the park for playdates isn’t really on the style agenda these days. However, wearing just an everyday ballet flat can get boring. This season we’re in luck because flats are on trend and range from fancy gladiator sandals to comfortable, yet stylish sneakers.

The ballet flat gets a much needed upgrade with spring’s D’Orsay flat which is essentially a sexier version of it’s cousin with a carved out middle. From metallic colors to bright prints, this is one flat that you’ll want to have on hand this season. You can pair it with everything from jeans to dresses and it can go from day to night without a thought.

For a daytime look, you can’t go wrong with the fashion sneakers. More than your lace-up and go to the gym running shoes, the fashion sneakers are the retro slip-ons that we remember wearing as a kid (think Vans and Keds) in new prints like snakeskin and stripes. You can also pair them with a maxi dress for a playful look.

If you’re a fan of the boho chic look, then the gladiator sandal will be your favorite shoe this spring. From fancy to simple, the sandals make every outfit look dressed up. One thing to make sure you do if you wear them is to get a pedicure first because people will definitely be looking at your shoes.

Which flat is your favorite for spring?
