Every few years my daughter asked to “redo or change” her room, that time has come again. Slowly we have made a few updates from her sweet toddler room to a big girl room. We have updated her bedding, decor and lighting. I think it’s time to make her room a teen room, a room she will love and enjoy through high school. (fingers crossed) So my first step was to shop around, view Pinterest and share our ideas. I needed to know what she liked and colors she wanted to use. This was going to be a team project!
We decided the room would be clean and simple, so she could add her favorite things as the years go on. We loved that one wall will have wall paper and coordinating paint on all other walls. The bedding is important as well, I want it to be simple but fun. We will add a few different patterns, mixed with different textures and designs.
We agreed to have a few sophisticated pieces in the room such as a mirror and lighting. As I like to call those items, “Jewelery” for the space. I love the “unexpected” pieces in the room above, the mirror and lighting.
Love this look, from the upholstered headboard, the little bit of wallpaper and the over sized mirror. Now that the brainstorming is complete, we are off to design. Stay Tuned…..
