A Beachy Nursery

posted by Tracy No Comments

There is something about the color of  summer that I love and  how beach houses are decorated.  All things blue and white, maybe mixed with a bit of coral.  Seashells are piled high in every bowl or vase and natural jute rugs cover the floors.  I wanted to create a “Beach Nursery”, for those who have he same love I do.  We are always seeing a Nautical theme, mostly in a boy’s room, so here is my “Girly” beach room.

The bedding  and throw pillow are by New Arrivals, I wanted the bedding to have pink and love how the turquoise was brought in to represent water color.  The turquoise mini shelves can be hung on one wall to create a gallery wall. My favorite item in the room is the rug, love how it represents the movement of the waves and brings in soft playful colors!  How can you not have fun beach prints, these are by Dish & Spoon.  There are so many different kinds of fixtures you can bring into this type of room, I wanted to bring in color.  This pendent is by Maura Daniels.  Each year grab a clear vase and fill a little with sand, add all of the seashells you collected with your baby that year.  Each vase will represent memories and it will be a beautiful display in her room!
